I am slightly addicted to sunbutter. It’s light, but filling, flavorful, super high in Omega fatty acids and Vitamin E, and just overall better tasting than peanut or almond butter. After discovering this treasure it’s become a staple in my kitchen. But a 16 oz jar is $5 at Trader Joe’s, and the alarming rate at which I consume a single jar makes this an expensive delicacy. So alas, DIY sunbutter: you control the sugar, no excess packaging, and cost efficient if you buy sunflower seeds in the bulk section.
